Contemporary animation with focus on art education

The bachelor thesis deals with the current form of animated production, especially the tendencies that have emerged in recent years. It presents the possibilities of different approaches to animation, working with it and its use in art classes or in workshops. Current trends are presented through specific animated films and the work of their authors. Emphasis is placed on filmography created in the Czech Republic, mostly for children. For a comprehensive view of the field, the thesis maps basic animation techniques and represents a common procedure in the creation of professional animated films. The thesis also provides a list of organizations, institutions and programs dedicated to the dissemination of animation, its education for both students and teachers interested in involving it in their classes. The author relies on a professional literature, as well as information from websites or blogs dealing with the issue of animation, its difficulties and beauties. The author herself has been interested in animated work for several years, so she also uses her own work and the knowledge associated with it as a source of information. Bachelor thesis Short film and its distribution explores the phenomenon of the short film and its possible spread. Thesis deals with the definition of short film and film distribution. By using the interviews will be held to analyze the possibilities of distribution of short films. Based on these interviews, the reader will be able to get a rough idea of how one can currently run film distribution of this type of film.
Poetics of cinematic work of Artavazd Peleshyan

The Poetics of Artavazd Peleshyan's Cinema Abstract This thesis presents an analysis of the poetics of Artavazd Peleshyan's cinema based on the theory of poetics of cinema developed by David Bordwell. The first part introduces the reader to the director's work, includes a literature overview and outlines the methodological approach. The main theoretical frame of reference was provided by David Bordwell's concept of the poetics of cinema, which he developed in several publications. The second part of the thesis focuses on the analysis itself, and consists of three chapters that present the main components of a film work: thematics, stylistics and large-scale form. The first of these chapters focuses on basic thematic elements in individual Peleshyan's films and summarizes key themes represented throughout his work. The second chapter presents an analysis of the stylistic component of his work, consisting primarily of combining images and sounds expressed through the montage. This part also deals with Peleshyan's theory of distance montage and illustrates its mechanisms of distance connections using specific examples. Communication campaign of independent short film

The subject of the thesis is the design and practical implementation of marketing campaigns based on 3D animated short film. 'Blue of the Sea' is implemented within the course 4ME399 Multimedia project seminar at the University of Economics in Prague. The theoretical part contains a brief description of the basic elements of marketing communication and the specifics of the film industry. The practical part deals with the creating of a marketing plan for the project, includes market analysis, target audience research, selection and implementation of certain marketing activities.

The bachelor thesis Montage of a short film deals with the issue of editing as an instrument of the film language, which is used by an author to pass the information which supports general impression and understanding of the film. The thesis analyses the aspects which need to be considered during pre-production and filming, so that the final communication with the audience reaches desired effect. Apart from that, the thesis describes the rules which are necessary to be followed during the editing process as well as it classifies the types of montage. The analytical part demonstrates the usage of described rules and methods in practice. The goal is to evaluate how the film communicates with the audience through the montage.
